Christopher Alan Klein Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Christopher "Chris" Alan Klein, age 49, of St. Ignace went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Mackinac Straits Health System in St. Ignace. He was born in West Branch, Michigan, to Stanley and Mary (Rice) Klein. Chris grew up in Gladwin, Michigan and attended Gladwin Area Schools until his Junior year before moving to the Upper Peninsula. He graduated from Rudyard Area Schools in 1990. After high school, he attended Northern Michigan University for a few years. He was a slot attendant for Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace for 21 years. Chris was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church in St. Ignace. Chris followed just about all the pro-football teams, although the Detroit Lions always had his loyalty. He loved watching all sports when he had the time. Chris is survived by his mother, Mary; brother, Jason (Heather); nephew, Donovan; and niece, Jaylynn. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Stanley in 2013; and sister, Carrie Ann in 1975. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday December 14, 2021, Pastor Arthur Bode will be officiating a private family service with the Celebration of Life Gathering held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kewadin Casino (Tent) in St. Ignace.
